Dr. Pasha Emadi, PhD, DC
Publications Dr. Emadi earned his Doctorate degree in Microbiology and Immunology from University of Laval, Quebec, Canada and a Post Doctoral Diploma in Clinical Chemistry from University of Toronto, Medical School, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. He has authored over 30 publications, including research papers, conference presentations, Gene Bank registration and US Patents. Dr. Emadi has more than 18 years of experience in the biotechnology industry and his research experience spans various scientific disciplines, including Molecular Biology, Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology & Immunology, antibody engineering and manufacturing, and immunoassay method development and validation. His strong background in medical sciences and extensive research experience allows him to consistently demonstrate leadership roles in diverse areas of research and development. He currently serves as a Clinical Health Research Investigator at Healthcare Systems R&A inc. |

Dr. Lamin D Massaquoi, PhD
Publications Dr. Massaquoi is a Population Health Epidemiologist with a Doctoral degree in Epidemiology at Hebei Medical University and Postdoctoral fellowship training in Global Health at the University of Ottawa. He brings to the team a wealth of experience and competence in research, epidemiology, health systems, disease outbreak and surveillance, Health Information, Health Promotion, and Environmental Health in various parts of the world, including Low (Africa), Middle (Asia) and High (North America) income countries. Dr. Massaquoi has worked for academic institutions administering and facilitating health research grants, as well as conducting impactful research for major international humanitarian organizations. As a researcher, he brings to the team a wealth of research experience having conducted clinical, operational and wet lab research in various settings and subject areas, reviewed and edited grant and journal articles, and published in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Roxanne Armstrong, PhD Publications Dr. Armstrong began her studies in 2011 doing a degree in Psychology and graduated in 2014 with upper second-class honours. She received her PhD in 2019 and was also awarded the title of Chartered Psychologist with The British Psychological Society, reflecting the highest standard of psychological knowledge and expertise. Her experience includes working on a project investigating alcohol use in retirement and aimed to develop an intervention for the workplace that could help reduce the negative effects of alcohol use. This included a systematic review, which has since been published, and two qualitative studies that aim to be published in the future. Alongside Dr. Armstrong’s current position, she also holds a postdoctoral research associate position at the University of Cambridge, working within dietary public health. Dr. Amit Gupta, PhD Publications Dr. Gupta is a Clinical Health Research Investigator at Healthcare Systems R&A Inc. He has a Master of Science (MSc) and a PhD degree in Biotechnology. Having worked at many reputed research institutions, including the Institute of Cancer Research in London, Dr. Gupta acquired more than 12 years of experience in evaluating complex medical studies and publishing detailed reports and articles. Dr.Gupta’s deep expertise in the field of translational science has led to lead roles in several significant research projects. This includes working in a multidisciplinary portfolio of research projects which covers cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders. His research can be found in prestigious journals such as Molecular Cell, PNAS, etc. His interests and speciality lie in harnessing patient-level data, systems biology, genomics, and machine learning tools to improve lives. |

Dr. Zulfiquar Ali Bhotto, M.D, PhD

Bhotto obtained his BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, in 2002. After finishing his bachelors, he continued at Rajshahi University working as a lecturer and assistant professor till 2007. Then in 2012, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria, Canada. Between 2012 to 2020, Bhotto worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Victoria, Concordia University, Simon Fraser University, and Nanyang Technological University. His research interest includes stochastic optimization, machine learning, computational sustainability, and image processing. Currently, he is a research scientist at Simon Fraser University and a research investigator at Health Care Systems R&A Inc.

Nimah works as a research coordinator at Health and Rehab Research Inc. She is in her fourth year pursuing a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Biology and Pharmacology at McMaster University. She has always had a passion for doing research in the healthcare and clinical fields. After she graduates, Nimah wants to continue her education by pursuing a Masters in Biotechnology or any related science field. |
